15 new confirmed indigenous cases and 2 indigenous asymptomatic infections in Beijing on Oct. 20

From 00:00 to 24:00 on October 20, there were 15 new cases of confirmed local cases (including 4 cases of asymptomatic infected persons to confirmed cases, of which 8 cases were notified) and 2 cases of asymptomatic infected persons (of which 1 case was notified), 12 cases of isolated observation personnel, 1 case of social surface screening personnel, and no new suspected cases; 3 new cases of confirmed cases and 6 cases of asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad, and no new suspected cases. There were 11 cases discharged from hospital and 2 cases of asymptomatic infected persons released from medical observation.

Local cases

Confirmed case 1: now lives in Baiyunguan Street Nanli District, Xicheng District, and is an isolated observer, diagnosed as a confirmed case on October 20.

Confirmed cases 2, 4, 5, 11: currently living in Baiyangjing Yuan A, Chaoyang District, under isolation and observation, diagnosed as confirmed cases on October 20.

Confirmed case 3: currently lives in Fahua Nanli District, Dongcheng District, and is under isolation and observation, diagnosed as a confirmed case on October 20.

Confirmed case 6: now lives in Dongzhimennei Street No. 8, Dongcheng District, a social surface screening worker, diagnosed as a confirmed case on October 20.

Confirmed cases 7 to 9: Currently lives in Zifang Yuan District, Fengtai District, and is an isolation observer, diagnosed as a confirmed case on October 20.

Confirmed case 10: now lives in 12 Zhongguancun South Street, Haidian District, is an isolated observer and was diagnosed as a confirmed case on October 20.

Asymptomatic infected person 1: now lives in No. 8 A, Zhongguancun South Street, Haidian District, and is an isolated observer, diagnosed as an asymptomatic infected person on October 20.

Asymptomatic infected person 2: now lives in No.12 Zhongguancun South Street, Haidian District, and was diagnosed as asymptomatic infected person on October 20.

Confirmed cases imported from abroad

Confirmed case 1: Chinese national, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from the UK on October 18, sent to a centralized isolation hotel via closed-loop management, diagnosed as a confirmed case on October 20.

Confirmed cases 2 and 3: Korean nationals who arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from South Korea on October 17 and were sent to the centralized isolation hotel under closed-loop management, and were diagnosed as confirmed cases on October 20.

All the above cases have been transferred to designated hospitals, epidemiological investigations have been conducted and control measures have been implemented as required.
