No new indigenous confirmed cases, 13 new indigenous asymptomatic infections yesterday
On October 20, 2022 from 00-24 hours, there were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia and 13 new indigenous asymptomatic infections, all of which were found in isolation control. There were 2 new confirmed cases of imported extranational New Crown pneumonia and 31 new asymptomatic infections, all of which were found in closed-loop control.
Status of local cases
There were no new confirmed cases of indigenous New Coronary Pneumonia from 00-24 hours on October 20, 2022. Three cases were cured and discharged from the hospital.

It is a person who came to Shanghai from other provinces and was implemented for control after arriving in Shanghai, during which the nucleic acid test result of the new coronavirus was abnormal. The situation of imported cases from abroad
On October 20, 2022, from 0-24 hours, 2 confirmed cases of overseas imported neocrown pneumonia were reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at the port. Two cases were cured and discharged, including one case from the UK and one case from Germany.
Case 1 was of Chinese nationality, visiting relatives in the United States, departing from the United States and arriving at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 8, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, and was sent to a designated medical institution for isolation and exclusion before being released from isolation when symptoms appeared. After expert group consultation, the diagnosis was made as a confirmed case by integrating epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings.
Case 2 was a resident of Taiwan, living in Taiwan, departed from Taiwan and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 13, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which symptoms appeared. The comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as confirmed cases.
Two cases of overseas imported confirmed cases have been transferred to designated medical institutions for treatment, and close contacts of the same flight have been previously implemented for centralized isolation and observation.

From 00-24 hours on October 20, 2022, there were 31 new cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad.
Asymptomatic infected person 1 is a Chinese national living in Hong Kong, departed from Hong Kong and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 11, 2022, and was placed under centralized isolation and observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. Asymptomatic infected person 2 and asymptomatic infected person 3 were both residents of Taiwan, living in Taiwan, departed from Taiwan, took the same flight, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 13, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic infected patients4 were of Chinese nationality, working in Italy, departed from Italy, transferred via Germany, and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 13, 2022, and were centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Asymptomatic Infected Person 27 and Asymptomatic Infected Person 28 were both of Chinese nationality. Asymptomatic Infected Person 27 worked in France and departed from France with connecting flights via Germany and the Netherlands, and Asymptomatic Infected Person 28 worked in Germany and departed from Germany with connecting flights via the Netherlands. Asymptomatic Infected Person 27 and Asymptomatic Infected Person 28 took the same flight and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 18, 2022, and were centralized isolation for observation, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. The asymptomatic infected person30 was of Chinese nationality, working in the Netherlands, departed from the Netherlands and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 19, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.
The asymptomatic infected person31 was of Chinese nationality, working in Germany, departed from Germany and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 19, 2022, and was centrally isolated for observation upon entry, during which routine nucleic acid testing was abnormal. After screening, the nucleic acid test result of the district CDC for new coronavirus was positive. Comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging findings were diagnosed as asymptomatic infections.
Thirty-one cases of imported asymptomatic infections from abroad have been transferred to designated medical institutions for medical observation, and 540 close contacts of the same flight have been tracked, all of whom have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation.
On October 20, 2022, from 0-24 hours, 50 cases of asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation, including 27 cases of local asymptomatic infected persons and 23 cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons.
From 0000 hours on July 3, 2022 to 2400 hours on October 20, 2022, a total of 200 cases were confirmed locally, 204 cases were cured and discharged, 20 cases were treated in hospital, and 0 cases died; 1177 cases of asymptomatic infections were reported.
