On September 16, 0-24 hours, there were 4 new local confirmed cases in Guangxi (all in Fangchenggang City, including 2 cases in Dongxing City and 2 cases in Fangcheng District); 45 cases of local asymptomatic infections (41 cases in Fangchenggang City, including 25 cases in Dongxing City and 16 cases in Fangcheng District; 4 cases in Ningming County, Chongzuo City). The same day healed and discharged 1 case of local confirmed cases (Fangchenggang City), released from isolation medical observation of 28 cases of local asymptomatic infected (all in Fangchenggang City). As of 24:00 on September 16, there were 69 confirmed local cases (53 in Fangchenggang City and 16 in Wuzhou City) and 638 asymptomatic infections (588 in Fangchenggang City, 21 in Chongzuo City, 15 in Wuzhou City, 13 in Yulin City and 1 in Baise City) in the region.
On the same day, there were 15 new cases of asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad (all in Chongzuo City). 7 cases of foreign imported asymptomatic infected persons were released from isolation for medical observation on the same day (6 cases in Chongzuo City and 1 case in Fangchenggang City). There were 91 cases of overseas imported asymptomatic infected persons (83 cases in Chongzuo, 4 cases in Fangchenggang, 2 cases in Beihai and 2 cases in Baise).
There were 919 new close contacts on that day, 483 close contacts were released from isolation for medical observation, and there were 6295 close contacts.
The region reported a total of 2,325 confirmed cases, a total of 2254 cases cured and discharged, 2 cases died, the existing 69 cases in treatment.
