On October 9, 0-24 hours, there was 1 new confirmed local case in Jiangsu (reported in Nanjing and under isolation medical management in designated hospitals). There were 18 new local asymptomatic cases (1 case in Nanjing, 2 cases in Wuxi, 3 cases in Xuzhou, 5 cases in Suzhou, 7 cases in Yangzhou, all under isolation medical management in designated hospitals).

There were 3 new confirmed cases imported from abroad (1 case from Thailand, 1 case from Hong Kong and 1 case from Singapore, all of which were under quarantine treatment in designated hospitals in Nanjing) and 9 new cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad. There were 4 new cases discharged from the hospital (1 case in China and 3 cases imported from abroad) and 8 asymptomatic infected persons released from isolation medical management (6 cases in China and 2 cases imported from abroad).
