The New Year festival is approaching, the majority of working farmers and college and university students return home one after another, the flow of people in rural areas increased, the risk of transmission of the new crown epidemic has also increased, the epidemic prevention and control in rural areas to the most strenuous time. In order to scientifically and efficiently do a good job in the prevention and control of epidemics in rural areas, to promote the smooth pressure of epidemics in rural areas over the peak, to maximize the protection of life safety and health, the following initiatives are issued.

First, the correct understanding of the epidemic. Pay attention to your health status at all times, and seek medical advice from village health offices and township health centers when symptoms of infection appear. Keep abreast of local regulations on epidemic prevention and control, and maintain a good attitude. Do not panic, do not be anxious, do not believe in rumors, do not spread rumors, and do not use drugs blindly.

Pay attention to protection when returning home. Do your personal protection on the way back home, and take the initiative to comply with local epidemic prevention and control requirements after returning home, try to gather less, have fewer meals, wear a mask when visiting the elderly, and keep a proper distance. Advocate for a temporary reprieve from returning home during the period of infection. When a family member shows symptoms of infection, pay attention to home isolation and remind other family members to strengthen home protection.

Third, maintain hygienic habits. When visiting friends and relatives and going out to attend activities, wear a good mask, maintain interpersonal distance and pay attention to cough etiquette. Wash your hands regularly and disinfect frequently. Live a regular life, get enough sleep, drink more water, eat more vegetables and fruits. Ventilate your home frequently, do regular cleaning and sanitation, and clean up production and living waste in a timely manner.

Fourth, reduce the gathering activities. Red and white celebrations as simple as possible, to avoid a big event. Advocate New Year’s greetings by phone, WeChat and other forms of greetings. Go to crowded places such as temples, lantern fairs, fairs and chess rooms, obey the local epidemic prevention and control arrangements, and reduce gathering activities when the epidemic is serious to avoid the spread of the epidemic too quickly.

V. Take the initiative to vaccinate. Vaccination against the new coronavirus can effectively reduce the risk of serious illness. Please consciously obey the arrangements of your village and take the initiative to get vaccinated.

Care for your neighbors. Actively participate in the prevention and control of the epidemic in your village, take the initiative to care for and visit your neighbors under the premise of good personal protection, provide help as much as you can for folks in need, such as buying daily necessities and emergency medical care, and share surplus treatment drugs, masks, disinfection supplies, etc. with folks in urgent need.

Seven, production does not miss the farming time. Under the premise of good epidemic prevention and control, pay close attention to weather dynamics, do a good job in winter agricultural production, strengthen field management, and prevent extreme low-temperature frost damage. Timely stockpile seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural films, veterinary drugs, feed, farm machinery and other agricultural supplies, and make preparations for spring plowing. Pay attention to the prevention and control of animal and plant diseases and key zoonotic diseases to avoid overlap with the new crown epidemic.
