According to the Hubei Health Commission, from 0-24 hours on October 18, there were 0 new local confirmed cases, 39 new local asymptomatic infections in Hubei Province (18 cases in Xiangyang City, of which 16 were detected at isolation sites; 16 cases in Wuhan City, of which 7 were detected at isolation sites and 5 at control areas; 3 cases in Jingmen City and 2 cases in Suizhou City, all of which were detected at isolation sites), 0 new confirmed cases imported from abroad, 2 new 2 cases of asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad (imported from Indonesia), 0 new suspected cases, 0 new fatal cases, 0 cases discharged on the same day, 34 cases of asymptomatic infected persons released from medical observation on the same day (8 cases in Wuhan, 7 cases in Jingzhou, 4 cases in Xiantao, 2 cases in Ezhou, 1 case in Shiyan, 1 case in Xiangyang, 1 case in Xiaogan, 1 case in Huanggang, 1 case in Suizhou; 8 cases imported from abroad).

As of 24:00 on October 18, there were 7 confirmed local cases treated in designated medical institutions (5 cases in Xiangyang, 1 case of common type and 4 cases of light type; 1 case in Wuhan and 1 case in Huangshi, both of which were light type) and 0 suspected cases. There are still 481 cases of local asymptomatic infected persons under intensive medical observation (170 cases in Wuhan, 73 cases in Xiantao, 64 cases in Jingzhou, 43 cases in Jingmen, 42 cases in Xiangyang, 27 cases in Huanggang, 20 cases in Suizhou, 11 cases in Shiyan, 11 cases in Enshi, 10 cases in Yichang, 3 cases in Xiaogan, 2 cases in Huangshi, 2 cases in Ezhou, 2 cases in Tianmen, 1 case in Qianjiang).

There was 1 confirmed case of overseas importation in designated medical institutions, which was light; 29 cases of overseas importation of asymptomatic infected persons were still under centralized isolation for medical observation.

A total of 63,917 cases were cured and discharged from the hospital, 4,512 cases died, and a total of 68,437 confirmed cases of Newcastle pneumonia were reported. There are 29,295 close contacts still under intensive isolation for medical observation.
