In order to help and guide patients recovering from novel coronavirus infection to manage their own health, Taiyuan TCM Hospital Sunshine Fenhewan Branch (Center for the Treatment of Disease) has officially opened the “New Coronavirus Infection Rehabilitation Clinic” since January 3, 2023 to provide guidance and treatment for cough, weakness, insomnia, pain and other problems that exist after infection. The clinic will help patients to recover by traditional Chinese medicine, such as acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and home rehabilitation guidance.
According to the WHO Guidelines for Personal Rehabilitation of Neoconiosis and combined with clinical observations and population surveys, the following health problems exist in people recovering from neoconiosis: shortness of breath, limited physical activity and exercise, decreased physical strength and fatigue, hoarseness and cough, swallowing problems, smell and taste problems, anxiety and depression, sleep problems, and physical pain.
