According to the Health and Welfare Commission website, December 18, 0-24 hours, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 1,995 new cases of confirmed cases. Among them, 77 imported cases (Guangdong 31 cases, Sichuan 14 cases, Beijing 7 cases, Shandong 6 cases, Heilongjiang 5 cases, Inner Mongolia 4 cases, Liaoning 3 cases, Shanghai 2 cases, Fujian 2 cases, Tianjin 1 case, Shaanxi 1 case, Gansu 1 case); local cases 1918 cases (Guangdong 846 cases, Beijing 314 cases, Chongqing 198 cases, Hunan 93 cases, Fujian 87 cases, Yunnan 74 cases, Sichuan 65 cases) Zhejiang 40 cases, Tianjin 39 cases, Henan 39 cases, Shandong 33 cases, Inner Mongolia 23 cases, Shanghai 23 cases, Shaanxi 15 cases, Hebei 11 cases, Heilongjiang 6 cases, Shanxi 4 cases, Hainan 3 cases, Jiangsu 2 cases, Qinghai 2 cases, Anhui 1 case). There were 2 new fatal cases, both local, in Beijing; 1 new suspected case, local (in Fujian).

1,344 new cases were cured and discharged on that day, including 47 cases imported from abroad and 1,297 local cases (606 cases in Guangdong, 251 cases in Beijing, 113 cases in Chongqing, 75 cases in Fujian, 72 cases in Zhejiang, 34 cases in Heilongjiang, 22 cases in Shandong, 18 cases in Henan, 15 cases in Hebei, 12 cases in Liaoning, 12 cases in Guizhou, 11 cases in Jiangsu, 9 cases in Inner Mongolia, 8 cases in Shanghai, 7 cases in Sichuan (7 cases in Shaanxi, 6 cases in Hubei, 5 cases in Shanxi, 3 cases in Yunnan, 3 cases in Xinjiang, 2 cases in Tianjin, 2 cases in Hunan, 2 cases in Guangxi, 1 case in Anhui, 1 case in Ningxia), 60,777 close contacts released from medical observation, 11 more serious cases than the previous day.

There are 490 confirmed cases imported from abroad (no serious cases) and no existing suspected cases. The total number of confirmed cases is 28,642, the total number of cured and discharged cases is 28,152, and there are no fatal cases.

As of 24:00 on December 18, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 35,298 confirmed cases (including 253 serious cases), 339,885 cumulative cured and discharged cases, 5,237 cumulative fatal cases, 380,453 cumulative reported confirmed cases, and 20 existing suspected cases. A total of 15302649 close contacts have been traced, and 326119 close contacts are still under medical observation.

A total of 9065551 cases of confirmed cases were received from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, 486026 cases in Hong Kong SAR (106038 discharges, 11171 deaths), 1472 cases in Macau SAR (975 discharges, 11 deaths), and 8578053 cases in Taiwan (13742 discharges, 14890 deaths).
