National Health Commission: no more isolation measures for new coronavirus infected patients

The National Health Commission (NHC) released the “General Plan for the Implementation of Category B and B Control of Novel Coronavirus Infection” on the evening of 26th.

According to the program, from January 8, 2023, the new coronavirus infection will be put under “Category B, Category B control”. According to the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act, no longer implement isolation measures for people infected with the new coronavirus, no longer determine close contacts; no longer delineate high- and low-risk areas; implement graded classification of treatment for people infected with the new coronavirus and adjust the medical security policy at the appropriate time; adjust the testing strategy to “test as much as possible”; adjust the frequency and content of the release of information on the epidemic. According to the law on border health quarantine, no longer take quarantine infectious disease management measures for incoming personnel and goods.
