Shanghai community health service institutions continue to improve the capacity of community-based new crown rescue and treatment services

Focusing on the goal of “preventing serious illness and ensuring health”, Shanghai community health service institutions continue to expand their capacity and increase their capability to meet the demand for oxygen therapy, infusion and hospitalization services at the doorstep of the public after a new coronary infection, and continue to promote the “early detection, early intervention and early triage” of new coronary serious illness in the community. “The city’s community health centers have been working together with the community health centers to provide the best possible care for people with new coronary infections.
Currently, the city’s community health service centers and sub-centers provide tiered and categorized services for people with neo-crown infection, including: health monitoring, symptomatic treatment, nutritional support, antiviral (small molecule drugs) medication, hospitalization, family beds and timely referrals.
Of the 335 community health service centers and sub-centers in the city, 327 have set up oxygen therapy areas to provide outpatient oxygen therapy and inhalation services; 315 provide outpatient infusion services; and 201 provide inpatient services, mainly for patients who are transferred back to the community after being treated by higher-level hospitals.
If citizens need oxygen, infusion or hospitalization services after being infected with a new crown, they can call the nearest community health service center or branch center for 24-hour consultation, and the community health service center and branch center will provide appropriate health services for citizens based on health assessment.
