Some Xi'an hospitals opened new crown rehabilitation clinics to provide professional services for people in recovery period

The clinic is staffed by senior physicians who are chief physicians or above in the Department of Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Tuina and Rehabilitation. The clinic targets shortness of breath, limited physical activity and exercise, decreased physical strength and fatigue, hoarseness and cough, swallowing problems, smell and taste problems, anxiety and depression, sleep problems, body pain and other health problems of people recovering from neocoronavirus infection, and adopts acupuncture, cupping, acupressure, Chinese herbal medicine, modern rehabilitation techniques, physical factor therapy and other comprehensive means. The hospital has also started to intervene with acupuncture, cupping, acupressure, herbal medicine, modern rehabilitation techniques and physical factor therapy.

The Fourth People’s Hospital of Shaanxi Province also officially established the New Crown Rehabilitation Ward on January 2, and admitted 20 patients with mild New Crown virus infection on that day. The new crown rehabilitation ward mainly treats patients with symptoms such as cough, headache, chest tightness and general weakness of new crown mild disease. The medical and nursing staff consists of a team of experts from the pain department, Chinese medicine department and nutrition department of the hospital, and there are 20 beds. The Fourth People’s Hospital of Shaanxi Province has formulated a corresponding treatment plan in three stages: “admission to hospital for critical care, hospitalization for stabilization, and discharge for recovery”. At the same time, according to the different symptoms of different patients, the hospital also through the outpatient clinic session, the acute and critical patients and mild patients triage treatment, the mild patients into the new crown recovery ward treatment, so as to achieve targeted medical treatment work, to achieve the whole process of closed-loop treatment of patients with the new crown virus infection.
