December 20, 0-24 hours, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 3101 new cases of confirmed cases. Among them, 52 imported cases (Guangdong 18 cases, Sichuan 17 cases, Heilongjiang 4 cases, Shanghai 4 cases, Shandong 4 cases, Liaoning 3 cases, Chongqing 1 case, Gansu 1 case); local cases 3049 cases (Guangdong 1171 cases, Beijing 544 cases, Jiangxi 245 cases, Chongqing 204 cases, Fujian 184 cases, Yunnan 127 cases, Hunan 119 cases, Shanghai 108 cases, Sichuan 86 cases Tianjin 59 cases, Zhejiang 37 cases, Henan 36 cases, Shanxi 32 cases, Shaanxi 22 cases, Shandong 17 cases, Guizhou 16 cases, Hebei 15 cases, Jiangsu 7 cases, Heilongjiang 6 cases, Qinghai 5 cases, Guangxi 4 cases, Inner Mongolia 3 cases, Hainan 2 cases). No new cases of death. There were 12 new suspected cases, all of which were local cases (all in Shanghai).

There were 1953 new cured cases discharged on the same day, including 44 imported cases and 1909 local cases (993 cases in Guangdong, 360 cases in Beijing, 127 cases in Yunnan, 76 cases in Chongqing, 75 cases in Fujian, 72 cases in Sichuan, 30 cases in Henan, 30 cases in Guizhou, 21 cases in Hubei, 19 cases in Shaanxi, 15 cases in Liaoning, 13 cases in Hainan, 12 cases in Heilongjiang, 10 cases in Shanghai, 10 cases in Zhejiang (9 cases in Shandong, 8 cases in Inner Mongolia, 7 cases in Jiangsu, 6 cases in Hebei, 5 cases in Shanxi, 5 cases in Hunan, 3 cases in Tianjin, 1 case in Anhui, 1 case in Guangxi, 1 case in Qinghai), 54,918 close contacts released from medical observation, 53 more serious cases than the previous day.

There are 475 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and no existing suspected cases imported from abroad. The total number of confirmed cases is 28760, the total number of cured and discharged cases is 28285, and there is no death.

As of 24:00 on December 20, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 37,111 existing confirmed cases (including 329 severe cases), 343,855 cumulative cured and discharged cases, 5,241 cumulative fatal cases*, 386,276 cumulative reported confirmed cases, and 31 existing suspected cases. A total of 15345209 close contacts have been traced, and 252,610 close contacts are still under medical observation.

A total of 9096294 cases of confirmed cases were received from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, 489096 cases in Hong Kong SAR (106785 discharges, 11243 deaths), 1659 cases in Macau SAR (1270 discharges, 16 deaths), 8605539 cases in Taiwan (13742 discharges, 14931 deaths).
