Hunan Yiyang initiative: non-essential not to do nucleic acid testing
The medical treatment group of Yiyang City New Crown Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control Command has issued an “Initiative Letter on Not Doing Nucleic Acid Testing for Non-Essential Purposes”, as follows.
At present, most of the sampling sites in the city are gathering and piling up for nucleic acid testing. The general public is understandably worried about infection, but the practice of gathering and piling up for nucleic acid testing is not desirable. Here, we advocate: non-essential not to do nucleic acid testing.
First, from the perspective of policies at all levels
The national, provincial and municipal governments have clearly requested that “local testing” should no longer be carried out, that full nucleic acid testing should no longer be carried out according to administrative regions, and that health codes and negative nucleic acid tests should no longer be checked for cross-regional mobility and access to some public places.
Second, from the perspective of nucleic acid testing
The purpose of nucleic acid testing is to exclude suspected positive infections or find positive infections, and is not a necessary means for individuals to prevent viral infections. The gathering and piling up of nucleic acid testing not only squeezes the resources of the nucleic acid testing laboratory to a certain extent, but also increases the waiting time for people who really need nucleic acid testing, which will substantially increase the risk of cross-infection.
Third, from the perspective of personal health
At present, the risk of transmission at the social level is increasing. If you do not need to go to specific places such as nursing homes, orphanages, schools, etc., and do not show any suspected infection symptoms or work or travel without proof of negative nucleic acid testing, please do not join the nucleic acid testing team.
We advocate that residents who do not have symptoms related to the new coronavirus and do not need nucleic acid testing “do not do nucleic acid testing unless necessary” and get vaccinated against the new coronavirus as soon as possible. Vaccination against NCCV can increase your resistance to NCCV and reduce the risk of infection and the risk of serious illness after infection.
We firmly believe that as long as you do a good job of personal protection and be the first person responsible for your own health, the “haze” of the epidemic will be dispersed and the battle against the epidemic will be won. Thank you for your understanding and support.
