Recently, Xi’an Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision issued the Notice on 10 Measures to Further Improve the Supply and Price Stabilization of Anti-epidemic Medicine in Rural Areas, deciding to take 10 measures in 3 aspects to further improve the supply and price stabilization of anti-epidemic medicine in rural areas and fully protect the demand for medicine in rural areas.

Carry out the action of “love drug enterprises to guarantee the rural areas (development zones)”. Coordinate arrangements for drug wholesalers and drug retail chains to guarantee rural areas and counties (development zones). Establish a two-way contact mechanism between the market supervision departments of rural counties (development zones) and love drug enterprises, township street offices and retail pharmacies in rural areas, so as to share information, resources and reasonable deployment.
Open up distribution channels for epidemic prevention medicine in rural areas. Encourage urban drug retail enterprises to send drugs to rural areas, and make use of their own APPs, Meituan, Hungry for the purpose of increasing offline delivery of drugs purchased online in rural areas.
To ensure that retail pharmacies drugs “long flowing, uninterrupted”. The retail pharmacies should be urged to open as much as possible, set up “special counters for epidemic prevention drugs”, centralize the “four types of drugs” and display eye-catching signs, and encourage the implementation of limited sales of scarce drugs under the premise of strict implementation of the management system and operating procedures related to the sale of drugs in zero.
Increase the efforts to put out local epidemic prevention medicine. Simplify the approval procedures for the production of epidemic-prevention medicine and similar drugs for drug manufacturers in Xi’an, and actively coordinate with foreign raw materials to accelerate product launch.
Coordinate with multiple parties to supplement the supply of goods. Take the initiative to provide the headquarters of large drug chains with supply assurance procedures and urge multiple parties to replenish the supply of goods to maintain the supply of drugs.

Strengthen the quality and price supervision of pharmacological instruments in rural areas. Utilize the role of market supervision grid supervision, investigate and deal with illegal acts such as hoarding, price gouging, selling counterfeit and shoddy drugs, expired drugs, and selling “four types of drugs” and reagents at high prices in the “black market”.
