Chongqing had 240 new confirmed indigenous cases and 2,248 new indigenous asymptomatic infections on Dec. 9

Chongqing Health Commission informed that from 0-24 hours on December 9, there were 240 new confirmed local cases in Chongqing (131 cases in Jiulongpo District, 27 cases in Nanan District, 10 cases in Beibei District, 9 cases in Yongchuan District, 7 cases in Yubei District, 7 cases in Fengjie County, 6 cases in Banan District, 5 cases in Dadukou District, 5 cases in Jiangbei District, 5 cases in Shapingba District, 5 cases in Liangping District, 5 cases in Wansheng Economic Development District, 5 cases in Fuling District 3 cases, Yuzhong District 3 cases, Wushan County 3 cases, Tongnan District 2 cases, Kaizhou District 2 cases, Changshou District 1 case, Bishan District 1 case, Wulong District 1 case, Zhong County 1 case, Xiushan County 1 case), of which 129 cases were previously asymptomatic infections turned into confirmed cases.

There were 2248 new cases of local asymptomatic infections (562 cases in Yuzhong District, 456 cases in Jiulongpo District, 336 cases in Nanan District, 323 cases in Jiangbei District, 87 cases in Beibei District, 64 cases in Yubei District, 40 cases in Wuxi County, 39 cases in Yunyang County, 36 cases in Yongchuan District, 35 cases in Pengshui County, 33 cases in Hechuan District, 31 cases in Xiushan County, 23 cases in Jiangjin District, 20 cases in Liangping District, 17 cases in Dazu District, 16 cases in Bishan District 16 cases, Wansheng Economic Development Zone 15 cases, Fuling District 13 cases, Dianjiang County 13 cases, Zhong County 12 cases, Wanzhou District 10 cases, Banan District 10 cases, Wushan County 9 cases, Qijiang District 8 cases, Tongnan District 7 cases, Rongchang District 7 cases, Wulong District 4 cases, Shapingba District 3 cases, Changshou District 3 cases, Nanchuan District 3 cases, Tongliang District 3 cases, Kaizhou District 3 cases, Youyang County 3 cases, Dadukou District 2 cases, Fengdu County 1 case, Fengjie County (1 case).

There were 220 cases of confirmed local cases discharged from the hospital, and 5917 cases of local asymptomatic infected persons were released from medical observation. As of 24:00 on December 9, there were 2160 confirmed local cases and 56,418 local asymptomatic infected persons in Chongqing.

From 00:00 to 24:00 on December 9, there were 6 new confirmed cases of overseas importation in Chongqing (4 cases in Italy and 2 cases in UAE) and 1 new case of overseas importation of asymptomatic infected persons (Singapore); 3 cases of overseas importation of confirmed cases were cured and discharged from hospital. As of 24:00 on December 9, there were 15 confirmed cases of overseas importation in Chongqing, and 6 cases of overseas importation of asymptomatic infections.
