The demand for nucleic acid testing has become smaller, and a large number of nucleic acid testing kiosks are idle on the streets, and some have even been deserted. Recently, the Beijing Daily client reported who should be responsible for the follow-up management of nucleic acid testing kiosks, withdrawal and other issues, triggering widespread concern among readers.

After a week, the reporter returned to find that after active coordination between the streets and nucleic acid testing institutions, the number of unused nucleic acid testing kiosks on the streets and lanes is decreasing. What’s more surprising is that over the past week, the public has put forward a number of suggestions for in-situ renovation and reuse of testing booths through messages and calls. The most popular suggestion was to turn the kiosk into a temporary rest kiosk for sanitation workers, and the comments section was full of warmth.

The public reflected that a nucleic acid testing kiosk on Jian’an East Road has been idle for six months.

After the report, the nucleic acid testing kiosk has been moved.

On the evening of January 15, a trailer drove past the South Cross West Street in Xicheng District, carrying a nucleic acid testing kiosk that had just been removed, and a citizen took a picture of the scene with his cell phone and posted it in his circle of friends. Reporters visited found that the road, the community idle testing booths are gradually reduced, especially the public call 12345 focused on the point, the problem has been solved. Dongcheng District Jiaodong District to occupy the right-of-way nucleic acid testing kiosk removed, Xicheng District, Le Cheng District crowded with small square testing kiosk moved, Chaoyang District, Jianan East Road unused for six months of the kiosk finally disappeared …… all districts and streets are taking positive action.

The public photographed the unused nucleic acid testing kiosks being withdrawn.

It is understood that some nucleic acid testing kiosks involve multiple ownership units, making it difficult to do a quick withdrawal. Therefore, there are also a lot of citizens through the message, call, and other ways to discuss the follow-up of unused nucleic acid testing kiosks.

In addition to the feedback that there are still testing kiosks occupying the road, there are also many suggestions from the public for renovation and reuse. For example, it was suggested that the nucleic acid testing kiosks be transformed into community security kiosks, or into volunteer kiosks when there are major events, etc. The reporter combed through and found that among the many suggestions, the number of suggestions to transform into rest kiosks for sanitation workers is the largest, accounting for about 40% of the total number of suggestions. “They are not easy, it’s so cold outside in winter, if you set up a few kiosks, so that sanitation workers sweeping a few streets have a place to rest, can drink hot water, is not quite good.” Citizen Mr. Zhang suggested.

The public gave advice on the transformation of the nucleic acid testing booths.

The reporter and a number of sanitation workers to exchange found that the public’s observations are keen. Sanitation workers Zhang told reporters that she has to start working at 4:00 a.m. every day, return to the premises at 11:00 p.m. every day for dinner, and then continue back to the road in the afternoon. “When working rarely can remember to drink water, with a kettle on the body is not convenient, and now it’s cold outside, even with a thermos, water can not be hot for a few hours.”

When the reporter told Zhang master there are many citizens are hanging on to their cold, she was first surprised, then the corners of her eyes squeezed out a smile lines, “Thank you, ah, to hear you say so I feel suddenly warmed up.”
